As previously mentioned it can be necessary to ”isolate”
a room with lead to prevent radiation penetration from
equipment. In principle, there are two ways to construct
a firewall with radiation isolation.

METHOD 1 WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF LEAD EQUIVALENT TO WALL PLATES USING BARIUM SULPHATE
The most common construction for radiation isolated
walls is with a lead equivalent using barium sulphate to
the wall plates. Simultaneously the plates function as
both fire and lead shielding.
This product requires a precise finish as detailed on the
below drawing.
