In this brochure, various icons are available to assist you in selecting
the appropriate products for your packaging requirements
RECYCLABLE
REUSE
The process involves converting used materials into
new products.
Products that can be used multiple times, thereby
reducing the need for single-use items and decreasing
overall waste generation.
COMPOSTABLE
These products are designed to decompose in industrial
composting conditions alongside organic waste,
generating nutrient-rich soil enhancers for agricultural
use. They are not intended for home composting.
REDUCE
Minimising the amount of waste generated by using
fewer resources or creating less overall in first place.
This involves reducing consumption, choosing products
with minimal packaging, and finding ways to decrease
generation materials.
CUP RECYCLING
Though not typically accepted in household recycling
and curb side collections, coffee cups can be returned
for recycling at specialised cup recycling centres. These
use specialist pulping plants to separate the fibers from
the plastic lining, preparing them for recycling.
HOME COMPOSTABLE
Food items or packaging that is certified to degrade in
backyard composting area or with garden waste without
any added chemical or industrial processes.
