Dear Friends of the York Symphony
Orchestra,
This orchestra has been performing
orchestral concerts in the community
for 91 seasons! What an amazing 92nd
Season we have lined up for 2024/25
thanks to our generous donors,
sponsors, and supporters. The podium
will once again have our Music Director,
Lawrence Golan who has signed a contract to be with the York Symphony
Orchestra through our 100th Anniversary in 2032, bringing you diverse, exciting,
eclectic orchestral favorites and maybe a piece or two you haven’t heard before.
Our community engagement and educational initiatives and efforts have
allowed us to partner with some of the amazing organizations and non-profits
here in York, PA. As we continue to implement our Strategic Plan and vision, our
new Education Manager will seek to continue to collaborate with the York Youth
Symphony, community musical foundations, arts organizations, and many
local schools with both in-school and theatre performances that are FREE to
the students!
We are excited to be a part of your musical and artistic experiences in York, and
we look forward to engaging with you before or after a concert to speak about
your favorite performances, players, and repertoire’. Together as a community,
may we strive to bring beauty to the world. The York Symphony Orchestra will
do our part by creating many musical moments to share with your family and
friends for generations to come. We humbly lead this organization and thank
you for your generous and unwavering support of Your York Symphony.
