Counselling Skills
Learn to provide e昀昀ec琀椀ve listening support in a mentoring or advocacy role, or train
to become a fully quali昀椀ed counsellor. Whatever your career goal, we have a range of
courses to suit you.

→ Introduc琀椀on Taster Course in Counselling Skills (New!)
→ Level 2 Cer琀椀昀椀cate in Counselling (One year, part 琀椀me)
Learn the underpinning knowledge to use counselling skills ethically and safely in
a variety of contexts and roles. You might be working in a role where you support
others, such as teaching or advocacy, or taking your 昀椀rst step into training as a
professional counsellor.
→ Level 3 Cer琀椀昀椀cate in Counselling (One year, part 琀椀me)
Take the next step to becoming a counsellor, and learn more about counselling
theory, ethics and mental health. This course prepares you for work in an agency
se琀�ng, or will lead to employment in a related 昀椀eld.
→ Level 4 Diploma in Therapeu琀椀c Counselling (Two years, part 琀椀me)
Gain Approved Quali昀椀ed Counsellor status and start work in an agency context,
with the op琀椀on to work towards independent prac琀椀ce a昀琀er addi琀椀onal experience.
At Level 4 you will focus on a rela琀椀onal philosophy of Counselling, while also
studying the Person-Centred Approach.
