Playing sport and joining clubs
When you are participating in a sport, club or group, the
organisation must make sure that you can participate as
much as a non-disabled member.
It is against the law for a group, club, or
association to:
Ask you to pay extra money
Leave you out of activities
Stop you from joining or applying to be a member
Ask you to meet in a place that isn’t accessible to you
Housing
When you are either buying or renting a house, the
real estate agent or landlord cannot:
Stop you from applying to rent or buy a place
Put you at the bottom of the list because of your
disability
Make you pay more for a place than a
non-disabled person would pay
Deny you reasonable accommodations
like allowing a guide dog in your home
