Isabella is a dedicated advocate with a whole lot of lived
experience, actively involved in advocating the causes of
youth, disability, mental health, and the LGBTQIA+
community. Their passion lies in fostering an inclusive
community that recognises the intersections of diverse
identities.
They are committed to creating opportunities for young
people’s voices to be heard. They have formed a
disability justice collective and are running Perth’s first
Disability Pride Fest. Izzie has also created a newsletter
which supports young people to find jobs based on
lived experience(s): The_LivedExperienceNewsletter.
In 2023, Izzie won twice at the Youth Affairs Council of
WA (YACWA) Youth Awards. They won the ECU
Community Leadership Award and received a $1000
prize. She also won the WA Young Person of the Year
where she received a $10,000 grant to participate in
youth-related activities from Lotterywest.
We are looking forward to Izzie’s change-making this
year!
