A Time of Rejoicing
... continued from page 1
“My heart is rejoicing,” a project adviser
said. “I was able to witness in my
generation a fully completed Bible
translated into my mother-tongue
language. [The translation staff have]
created history … and succeeded in
spreading the Word of God.”
Praise God that the Tira language
community now has the full counsel of
God’s Word — everything from Genesis
to Revelation — in their own language!
Help more communities in northern
Africa and around the world receive
God’s Word in a language and format
they clearly understand. Visit

Thank you for helping accelerate Bible translation through your
generous gifts. To learn about the impact of your giving, read

COMPLETING BIBLE TRANSLATION FOR
THE KUNAMA
The Kunama people are eagerly awaiting the publication of the
Bible in their language. Through the generosity of Wycliffe donors,
two translation teams are working on Scripture simultaneously.
Staff members in Ethiopia will complete 34 previously started Old
Testament drafts. They’ll also translate and publish the remaining
five Old Testament books — Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song
of Songs and Ezekiel. Meanwhile, a diaspora team in the U.S. and
Canada will finish 24 previously started New Testament drafts. The
three remaining books — Philippians, 2 Peter and Revelation — will
be translated and published as well. We are so thankful for each
donor who helps spread Christ’s message of hope through
God’s Word.
A JOYOUS CELEBRATION IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA
God’s power was evident at the New Testament dedication
ceremony for the Simbari community in Papua New Guinea. As
people heard God’s Word being read from their newly translated
Bible, many applauded with joy. Jesus’ name was lifted up, and
many in the crowd heard the gospel clearly for the very first time.
One Simbari speaker talked about the importance of taking God’s
Word with them everywhere they go — and that its truths should
cover every area of their lives. Join us in celebrating with the
Simbari community and praying that, through the New Testament,
many people will encounter Jesus and walk away completely
changed by His love for them. Thank you for helping provide
translated Scripture in Papua New Guinea and around the world.
GOD IS USING TRANSLATED SCRIPTURE TO
TRANSFORM LIVES
In South Asia, God is using translated Scripture to transform lives.
Currently, 12 audio app pilot teams are engaged in completing the
New Testament in 12 languages. “We are proud to say that our
efforts have made a significant impact,” said a team adviser. “The
creation of an audio Bible has been a source of great enthusiasm
for the people, and we have seen a positive response from those
who have engaged with our work. We are heartened by this
response and will continue to push through any obstacles to bring
the message of Christ.” We are grateful for the gifts that are
helping bring people closer to Jesus.
Together with other donors in the U.S., as of July 9, 2024, you’ve
helped raise $10,690,182 to advance Bible translation through
the Worldwide Projects Fund this year. Wycliffe USA is currently
engaged with 1,982 languages around the world.
We hope you were inspired by the impact you are having on Bible translation around
the world. God’s Word is truly transforming lives! Please prayerfully consider giving
