YOUTH SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can in昀氀ict deep trauma
upon children, disrup琀椀ng their capacity to form healthy
rela琀椀onships. This trauma o昀琀en derails their progress in
achieving crucial developmental milestones, leading to enduring
nega琀椀ve outcomes. Individuals who undergo signi昀椀cant childhood
trauma are at higher risk of dropping out of school, impeding their
ability to reach their full poten琀椀al. This educa琀椀onal de昀椀cit perpetuates
cycles of poverty and inequity, se琀�ng the stage for a recurring pa琀琀ern.
According to the World Bank, one-third of the working-age popula琀椀on in low- and middleincome na琀椀ons lack the fundamental skills necessary to secure quality employment.
Our interven琀椀on empowers young people by enhancing their skill sets and resilience, equipping
them to navigate challenges, forge posi琀椀ve rela琀椀onships, and transi琀椀on from mere survival to ac琀椀ve
engagement in personal and communal advancement. Our comprehensive Skills Development
curriculum encompasses a spectrum of topics, spanning from self-care and educa琀椀onal pursuits to
voca琀椀onal training, job readiness, and fostering healthy familial bonds.
