THE UNITED STATES
Established 2022
Our new ini琀椀a琀椀ve in the United States is reshaping societal
percep琀椀ons and empowering marginalized youth with
essen琀椀al life competencies. According to the New York
City Department of Educa琀椀on Demographic Snapshot,
an alarming 85.1% of students in Bronx County live at
or below the poverty line. Through the introduc琀椀on of
our Element of Play® programs into pre-K classrooms
in the Bronx, we are be琀琀er equipping children with
fundamental pre-literacy, numeracy, listening, and
language skills crucial for their holis琀椀c development.
In collabora琀椀on with P.S. 199X and PS 51 through the
Monte昀椀ore School Health Programs (MSHP) in the Bronx, we are
enhancing the capabili琀椀es of preschool educators and professionals.
Our approach involves training them in the innova琀椀ve Element of Play® methodology,
showcasing prac琀椀cal lessons, assessing the program’s impact within each classroom se琀ng.
Through this concerted e昀昀ort, we aim to catalyze posi琀椀ve change and foster an environment
where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

“Given the delicate situa琀椀on that our students, caregivers, and families 昀椀nd themselves in a昀琀er COVID,
WWO’s high-impact training method that focuses on trauma-informed, learning through play has
measurably improved the skills and, most importantly, the outlook of our wonderful teachers. We are proud
that we have been able to provide this professional development opportunity to our community where so
many have felt the disrup琀椀on in their children’s educa琀椀on, and wellness,”
- Dr. Rosy Chhabra, Director | Monte昀椀ore School Health Program
In 2023, WWO also partnered with PS 51/The Bronx STEM & Arts Academy
training and coaching teachers in the Element of Play® methodology.
“As I always say to our partners in this important work, thank you for joining our community and helping us to raise our children, together!
We have so many challenges to overcome, but I am incredibly hopeful that this new partnership will allow our teachers to renew their beliefs
that they can do much more and in return, our children will become well prepared to access “life” to their fullest. We tend to be the “forgo琀琀en”
narra琀椀ve. But our children are too important to be forgo琀琀en and le昀琀 behind. Your willingness to partner with us speaks volumes in that our
children are worth it! Thank you for pu琀ng “hope” back on the forefront of our mindset and vision.”
Dr. Min Hong, Principal | 10X051 Bronx STEM & Arts Academy, New York City Department of Educa琀椀on
