In Ukraine we administeredThe UCLA Child Trauma Screen toasks parents to report on theirchild’s behavior across thefollowing domains:OUR IMPACT• Having strong feelings• Trouble feeling happy• Staying away from people• Trouble sleeping• Hard to concentrateThere was a 52% improvement inchild behaviors, with the biggestshi昀琀 in children feeling less strongfeelings in their body and be琀琀erable to concentrate.Using the Developmental Pro昀椀le-3 to assess developmentand func琀椀oning in development, children in Bulgariashowed a marked improvement in children’s socialemo琀椀onal skills and emergent numeracy and literacy.WWO Hai琀椀 distributed 650 emergency aid kits thatincluded food, water tablets and hygiene items, bene昀椀琀椀ngmore than 2,500 children and adults.In Ethiopia, WWO uses theInterna琀椀onal Developmentand Early Learning Assessment(IDELA) to understand the skillschildren are learning and theirschool readiness by the 琀椀methey leave kindergarten to enter1st grade. Over the 2023 – 2024school year, we saw that:• The biggest gains from childrenaccessing Element of Play® inpreschool are in early numeracy,early literacy, and execu琀椀vefunc琀椀on skills.• Students with access toElement of Play® show a 20-30%increase in school readinessover and above their peers whoare in preschool and notcurrently accessing WWO’sprogram.At WWO’s Camp Colors of Love (Vietnam), 88%of campers increased their social connec琀椀on toovercome their self-s琀椀gma.make a difference12
