Recruiting Talent
Our law school pipeline programs are designed to strategically
enhance our entry-level associate talent pool. We also partner with
law schools and affinity bar associations to collaboratively promote
DEI within the legal industry.
Wiley’s 1L/2L DEI Scholarship – Wiley has awarded five scholarships to outstanding
1L and 2L law students whose life experiences and values contribute to our goal
of advancing DEI in the legal profession. In addition to joining Wiley as a summer
associate, each 1L DEI Scholar receives the distinction of being named Wiley’s 1L
Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Scholar and also serves as Wiley’s
representative at the LCLD 1L Summit prior to their tenure in our Summer Associate
Program. A DEI Scholar who joins Wiley as both a 1L and 2L Summer Associate is
eligible to receive up to $25,000 in funding upon accepting an offer to join Wiley’s
Fall class. Wiley’s 2023 2L DEI Scholar, also a former 2022 1L Scholar, will be joining
our 2024 Fall Associate Class.
Federal Communications Bar Association’s (FCBA) Diversity Pipeline Program
(DPP) – Wiley is a founding sponsor of FCBA DPP. This program is designed to
attract, develop, train, and support first-year law students with diverse experiences
and backgrounds who are interested in pursuing legal careers in technology, media,
and telecommunications law and policy. Since 2021, Wiley has partnered with DPP
to identify 1L candidates to join our Summer Associate Program. Wiley’s 2022 DPP
student participant is now an associate at the firm.
AT&T Summer Fellows Program – AT&T affords law firm summer associates across
the country the opportunity to spend two weeks working on assignments and networking with AT&T in-house counsel. For the past two years in a row, a Wiley 1L
summer associate has been selected to participate in this extraordinary program.
