Growing Our Talent Pipeline
At Wiley, we are invested in strengthening the pipeline of
attorneys from historically underrepresented communities.
From our pipeline programs for college graduates to opening
our doors for college students to learn more about law firm
life, we continually cultivate legal talent that reflects the rich
diversity of our clients and communities.
Pre-Law Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship – Since 2020, Wiley
has provided scholarship to college graduates with strong records of academic achievement, leadership accomplishments, and a commitment
to DEI. Our Pre-Law DEI Scholars, assigned to our Paralegal team, will
receive a monetary award and other financial assistance related to LSAT
preparation and examination costs. In this role, they work directly with
firm attorneys on client matters, assist in preparing legal documents as
well as conduct research and analysis, and support the organization and
management of cases. Through the end of 2023, we had three Pre-Law
DEI Scholars.
Law Firm Life Panels – In 2023, Wiley hosted undergraduate students from
Northwestern University’s Career Trek program and Rutgers University’s
Summer Service Internship program for informal panel discussions with
Wiley attorneys about their journeys to law school and unique career
paths.
