Leadership is ownership
Our ethical strategy is something that our whole Board and Executives
are serious about, but it’s not just something for senior leaders.
It is also something that all our managers will be seeking to apply
in the decisions they make to run the business, but it’s not just
something for people with “manager” in their role title.
This approach to business impacts the way all our colleagues
will do their jobs, but it’s not just an internal matter.
Being an ethical business, and part of a global ethical
movement is something for all of us – whether you are
a leader or colleague in the business, or a member who
owns the business and does their shopping with us. It’s
also something for our friends and partners in the local
community and the supply chain.
We can’t do this on our own. It’s something we can only
do together. And togetherness is at the core of what it
means to be a Cooperative.
