How we will manage
performance holistically
and ethically
We want to address
any behaviour that
goes against our ethical
principles.
In any business we need everyone to know what
is expected of them and equally they need to know
how well they are doing at their job.
Like other businesses, we have processes in place
to manage performance, such as role statements,
performance measures, targets, bonus criteria, and
appraisals. Our aim, behind all of these is to help every
colleague to be the best they can be and to do their
best towards what is important to us.
As a Cooperative we have always taken a more holistic
view of personal performance than many other businesses.
We have always known that success in business is just as
much about the right behaviours as the right numbers.
So with this next evolution of our ethical strategy, we are
going to be aligning all our performance management
processes to the need for all of our people to do the right thing.
