SOMETIMES
by Loghan Weber
Sometimes I like to think you still care.
That,
Even after all these years,
You still remember who I am.
Or even,
Who I was.
Sometimes I like to think you are trustworthy
That,
You you won9t stab me in the back,
Or leave me in the dust.
I like to think you won9t do it again.
Like you9ve changed.
Sometimes I like to think you miss me.
That,
Every time you see me laugh or cry,
You wish you could hold me,
And wait for my tears to dry.
I like to think it hurts you that I9ve moved on.
Like you still want to be in my life.
Sometimes I like to think you still care.
But then I remember what you did.
How you treated me.
I like to think I9ll be better off on my own,
But everytime I see your face,
I see my home.
