INTRODUCING…
THE VTIFF
SCREENING ROOM
VTIFF is moving. We’re
trading in our 3rd-floor
downtown office for a
first-floor, lakefront,
public-facing space at Main
Street Landing (the former
Peace & Justice Store). This
space offers both a large
reception/gathering area
and – drumroll, please – our
very own Screening Room!
This intimate, 35-seat
space allows VTIFF so much
more flexibility in what we
can do and how we can do
it. The benefits include:
• Being able to offer
classes and workshops
on-site;
• Film screenings, both one-offs and series, that allow for curated deep dives on
specific topics, directors, etc;
• An affordable space that others can rent for their own screenings;
• The opportunity to become an even more active partner with other organizations.
The Screening Room itself will feature high-end sound and projection, tiered
seating, and comfortable chairs (with cupholders!). We hope to open the doors and roll
film in early 2024.
We’ll continue to call the Main Street Landing Film House our home for our monthly
screenings and large-scale festival events, since it’s still the nicest theater in town.
