our little corner of the world. Southeast Texas is where
the Texas oil boom began. It’s here that Janis Joplin
belted out her first tune. And it’s here where hall of
fame football Coach Jimmy Johnson suited up for the
first time.
You can try Cajun cuisine, take a hike, go back in time
at one of the historic homes, or snap a selfie with the
colorful murals. The five communities that make up the
Golden Triangle - Beaumont, Groves, Nederland, Port
Arthur, and Port Neches - each have their own energy,
quirky charm, and a place in history books. Together,
their storied legacy and landscapes contribute to a
region rich in resources, history, nature, culture, and
