The Vienna International School
is an authorised International
Baccalaureate (IB) school,
a programme of international
education designed to help
its students from the age of 3 to 18

Grading system &
graduation requirements
The marks awarded for each
course range from 1 (lowest) to 7
(highest).
A minimum of 25 credits is
required for graduation and
credits are awarded for the
successful completion of each
full year course passed with a
minimum grade of 3 in grades
9 through 12. Class rank is
not calculated. Every student
who graduates from VIS receives
a VIS high school diploma.
Most students also take the full
IB Diploma.
