CBZ Holdings, through the Institutional Banking
Division hosted a stakeholder engagement meeting
on 25 September 2023, where the Minister of
State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution,
Harare Metropolitan Province, Hon. Senator. C. Z.
Tawengwa, Secretary for Provincial Affairs and
Devolution, Eng. T. Muguti, Mayors and Town Clerks
from Epworth, Ruwa, Chitungwiza and Harare were
among the invited guests.
The meeting focused on current challenges that
could be addressed by Public-Private Partnerships
(PPPs) in rehabilitating the socio-economic welfare,
through development of infrastructure, waste
collection management, construction of clinics
and hospitals, refurbishment of industrial parks,
sanitation services management, agriculture
enhancement and provision of housing.
Speaking during the meeting, CBZ Bank Wholesale
Executive Director, Mr Phibeon Mutibura reiterated
that how local authorities play a pivotal role in
fostering sustainable communities, attracting
investments, and ensuring the well-being of their
residents.
Pursuant to this, Mr reiterated how CBZ Holdings
firmly believes in collaborations between the public
and private sectors.
“Such partnerships are essential for the success of
any region, and we are committed to being strategic
partners to the local authorities in the Harare
Metropolitan Province.”
The widely welcomed collaboration is strategic in
repositioning the significance of local authorities in
driving economic growth and development.
