a home-based oxygen program, and support a clinical
care forum; and for leading a care team that supports
vulnerable and medically complex patients.

For her innovative leadership in nurse recruitment,
including identifying top talent and creating opportunities
for telemetry nurses to advance to critical care units; for
overseeing the implementation of measures in one unit
that have reduced patient falls by 70 percent over the
last year; and for helping ensure there were zero
hospital-acquired infections in this unit.

For her inspiring leadership in spearheading the innovative
“Hand Roll Project,” which greatly improved the wellbeing of residents by increasing their muscle tone; this
involved modifying a standard hand-roll device used to
prevent finger contractures and allow the flow of oxygen,
which promoted healing.
