For his initiative in assembling a multidisciplinary group
to streamline the process of obtaining respiratory samples
from patients suspected of having tuberculosis, reducing
wait times and time in isolation for these patients who
often have a preponderance of psychosocial barriers to
health.

For playing a leading role in the “No Barriers”
COVID-19 vaccination program, which strove to
eliminate vaccination barriers— such as cultural
hesitancy, technology, language, and documentation
requirements—and resulted in the city of Stamford
vaccinating over 80% of eligible residents, the highest
level of any city in Connecticut.

needs of its community.
