Reading God’s Word quickly is like inhaling yourfood. To truly understand the Bible, we needto slow down, read the passage more thanonce, and think about it. As you meditate onGod’s Word, you will know what is right andtrue.While it is excellent to read through theBible, to study it, and to memorize it, thetruth of God’s Word must also sink in. Youmust apply what you learned to your life. It isnot how you mark your Bible, but how yourBible marks you. What you meditate on mustaffect the way you live.When you meditate on God’s Word andapply its truths to your life, you will experience the promise in verse 3. That does notmean you will be the richest, most successfulperson in the world. It means that your work,life, and attitude will be blessed because youare living by God’s principles and experiencingthe rewards of obedience to him.To begin the next topic, turn to p.
