About Ethanol
Originally published February 4, 2016
Hi Barry:
I just finished reading your article "Enough With Ethanol" which was published
yesterday (February 3, 2016) on Bloombergview.com.
I want you to know that regardless of how much criticism you receive about the
article and the information you presented that you are not the biggest knucklehead disseminating lies and incorrect information about ethanol, you are merely
the latest knucklehead to do so.
It appears that about the only thing you got right is that you spelled the word
"ethanol" and your name correctly (although not having your photo ID in front
of me to verify the spelling of your name I'm just taking your word for it).
You begin by writing and complaining about the ethanol subsidies. There are
no ethanol subsidies. The subsidies that knuckleheads like you refer to expired
about four years ago. So, when you write "Why we still subsidize turning food
into an inefficient fossil-fuel substitute is anyone’s guess...," I would ask you:
How is it that a person with your experience and knowledge of finance, the
economy and the business world doesn't know this?
