centers through a transitional housing program to
better facilitate long-term discipleship and sobriety.
To achieve this, our ARC program will provide
intentional engagement and creation of a longterm relationship with The Salvation Army Chapel
at Worthington Woods and East Main Street
Community Centers.
The no-fee, 120-beds facility also includes a thrift
store and warehouse where the men go to work each
day. The ARC is funded partially from sales at its
thrift stores throughout central Ohio.
After our participants graduate, they are connected to
a center filled with active support from congregation
members along with transitional housing in an
environment that is free of narcotics and alcohol.
Currently, those with addictions join the ARC
program to resolve addiction issues, but success
rates drop in the long-term if there is not a strong
community presence free from addiction. That’s
why The Salvation Army is working toward
stronger integration of the ARC participants with
local Salvation Army worship and community
The Adult Rehabilitation Center
