SCC Core Requirements
Every program of study requires students to build a foundation of General Education Learning Outcomes
(GELOs) through courses in the SCC Core as well as required program classes.
To complete an associate degree, students must successfully complete a minimum of 15 semester credits from
the SCC Core. Because program requirements vary, students should contact their college or faculty advisor to assist with the selection
of Core courses which will meet their program’s graduation requirements.
Transfer students should work closely with an advisor and the school to which they plan to transfer to make the most appropriate
selections based on degree goals.
