Every year, The Salvation Army in Central Ohio holdssummer-long enrichment “day camps” located in Columbus neighborhoods where we are needed most.Day camp not only helps working parents by providing a safe, nurturing environment for their school-aged childrenduring the summer, but also keeps students actively engaged in studies that they may struggle with during theacademic year, giving a “jump start” to those in need of extra academic assistance.Children build their confidence by trying new activities: For example, learning to play musical instruments helps kidswith math, memory retention, coordination, and much more.Children who attend camp meet new friends, create lasting relationships, and make life-long memories to take homeand remember throughout the year.DAY CAMP HIGHLIGHTS1.
