Bruton Memorial Library
Bruton Memorial Library serves the community of Plant City, Florida.
In 1927, the Plant City Woman’s Club organized a community
library and operated by volunteers until 1959 when the
residents of Plant City voted to fund a public library through
their taxes. A small library was built and became a City
department. In 1994, the library was expanded, remodeled,
and renamed in honor of Quintilla Geer Bruton and Judge
James D. Bruton, Jr.

Any Hillsborough County resident
may become a member of the Bruton Memorial Library. This
library card can be used at any Hillsborough County Public
Library Cooperative location. To apply for a card, adults must
present a current photo I.D. and proof of current address.
Children and teens under 17 years of age must have a parent or
legal guardian present to obtain a card. For more information
