On the basketball court and in our offices, we are guided
by three simple principles that ensure that our work is
centered around humanity, dignity and peace.
SEEING PEOPLE AS PEOPLE
Seeing another person’s needs, wants, successes and
challenges as equally valid as one’s own. Making
efforts to solve problems in ways that honor the
humanity of others.
INSIDE OUT TRANSFORMATION
Solving difficult challenges by looking inward and
asking: “What assumptions have I brought to this
conflict? In what ways might I be ignoring my part
in the conflict or resisting a resolution?”
CULTURE OF COLLABORATION
A commitment to finding solutions to conflict that
meet everyone’s needs. Engaging other people with
respect for both their needs and one’s own, without
avoiding conflict or giving in.
