Both are the first peoplein their families to go to university and are as ambitious as they come– Noma is studying chemical engineering, and Paris is studying for aBachelors of Commerce in marketing and is also in the Nike Yes program.Paris and Noma say their success is the exception, rather than the rulein the communities where they grew up, stemming from a combinationof traditional gender roles and deep economic inequality.
