DAY 1 ARRIVE TOKYO – TOUR BEGINS
Welcome to “The Land of the Rising Sun.” Upon your arrival in Tokyo, transfer to your hotel and begin an
immersion in Japanese culture. After settling in to your to your room, meet your English-speaking Tour
Manager and travel companions at tonight’s Welcome Dinner. D
DAY 2 TOKYO
Explore Tokyo today beginning at Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple built in 645. Nearby
are the centuries-old streets of Nakamise where we’ll shop for traditional Japanese crafts, like handmade
paper, geisha hair combs, masks and wood products. Later, we’ll visit the legendary Nippori Textile
Town. It’s a mile-long street of fabric shops including Tomato—five stories of textiles, quilting fabrics,
notions, patterns, kits and trims. B D
