DAY 3 MUNICH - INNSBRUCK
Say goodbye to Munich and make your way
to Innsburck, nestled in the heart of Austria’s
Alps. Stop along the way for a chance to visit
more Christmas markets, perhaps grabbing
a bite of some local favorites for lunch. Get
a taste of Innsbruck’s Tyrolean culture with a
lively Folk Show Dinner. B D
DAY 4 INNSBRUCK - SEEFELD
Enjoy a walking tour through the charming
streets of Innsbruck with a local guide. Take
in landmarks such as the Golden Roof. Next,
journey by train 3,600 feet above sea level
to the idyllic village of Seefeld, one of the
world’s great ski resorts thanks to miles of
lakes and trails. Step off the train into the
pure Alpine air to find an authentic horsedrawn carriage – and a traditional gift of
schnapps – waiting for you. Belt out a carol
or two as you are whisked across the snow
and participate in a demonstration of how
to make (and eat!) traditional strudel. Glide
your way back to Innsbruck and shop for the
perfect souvenir at the Swarovski Crystal
Worlds Store. B
DAY 5 INNSBRUCK - OBERAMMERGAU
View Neuschwanstein Castle, the mostphotographed castle in Germany and the
inspiration for the castle in Sleeping Beauty.
American breakfast (B) daily; 4 dinners (D)
Pause at the Church of Weis (UNESCO),
a place of pilgrimage since the 18th century.
Legend claims that the wooden statue shed
tears during prayer. Your journey continues
to Oberammergau. Enjoy a lunch featuring
regional cuisine before spending some
time on your own getting to know this
picture-perfect Bavarian village. B D
Christmas Market
DAY 6 INNSBRUCK
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Innsbruck.
Go treasure hunting at the Christmas
markets, brimming with the sights, smells,
and sounds of the season. Revel in good
cheer while brass bands play from the towers
and indulge in some glühwein, a warm winter
drink and stollen, while chestnuts roast on
open fires. B
DAY 7 INNSBRUCK - SALZBURG - VIENNA
Over the mountains and through the woods
of the Austrian countryside resides the
storybook Old Town of Salzburg. Then,
journey through the baroque heart of the
Old City and the famous thoroughfare of
Mozart’s birthplace. Head out to enjoy a
free afternoon with the locals, affectionately
known as “Salzburgers.” Be sure to enjoy a
traditional Mozart chocolate (or two) and do
some treasure hunting at any of six
Christmas markets. B
DAY 8 VIENNA
Experience Vienna with an expert guide,
providing insight into its beloved history and
traditional architecture. Vienna is Austria’s
capital and largest city, known as the “City of
Music” because it was the hometown of
Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss. View
some of its architectural marvels, including
the lavish Schonbrunn Palace and the summer retreat of the Habsburg dynasty. Next,
venture to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and
the Old Town of Vienna on foot. Make the
most of some free time to grab some lunch
and head back to the city’s vast Christmas
markets. Perhaps you’ll try another cup of
Glühwein. B D
DAY 9 VIENNA - TOUR ENDS
After exchanging addresses and goodbyes,
your tour comes to a close today. B
