We travel now along Narragansett Bay to
Newport, then follow Ocean Drive past

DAY 4 CAPE COD – HYANNIS – SANDWICH
Our visit to Hyannis includes stopping at the
Kennedy Memorial before traveling through
quaint villages on Old King’s Highway. In
Sandwich, the Cape’s oldest town, see
historic Hoxie House and the Dexter Grist
Mill, which still grinds grain for sale. Heritage
Museum and Gardens includes a 1908
Looff carousel and a barn filled with antique
and classic cars–including Gary Cooper’s
1930 Duesenberg. Finish the afternoon at
Tumbleweed Quilts & Fabrics for shopping
and needlework tips. B D
Siasconset, Nantucket
DAY 5 CAPE COD – NANTUCKET
Today we cruise to enchanting Nantucket
Island, world whaling capital in the 1800s, to
savor cobblestone streets, shingled cottages
and historic shipowners’ houses. Our guided
island tour takes in beaches, lighthouses, tidy
villages and coastal scenery. There’s free time
to explore shops and galleries before our highspeed ferry back to the mainland for a relaxing
evening at leisure enjoying the ocean views. B
DAY 6 CAPE COD – PROVINCETOWN
After seeing charming Chatham with a stop
at Chatham Light, we’ll drive through Cape
Cod National Seashore for spectacular
ocean views. There’s time in Provincetown
to browse in waterfront galleries and shops
before our scenic and historical dunes tour.
We’ll enjoy a Cocktail Reception before
savoring a traditional lobster feast at our
Farewell Dinner. B D

DAY 7 CAPE COD – PLYMOUTH –
PROVIDENCE – TOUR ENDS
Swap addresses with new friends on the
ride to Plimoth Plantation. A visit to the
Plantation’s Craft Center offers a rare
glimpse at the Plimoth Jacket, an ambitious
project to re-create a woman’s embroidered
waistcoat of the early 1600s. These 17thcentury garments were exclusive for
women of court, the nobility and those
who had achieved a certain level of wealth.
Midday, we enjoy lunch on our own along
the Plymouth Waterfront. You’ll say goodbye
to new friends once we arrive at Providence’s
T.F. Green Airport. B
