DAY 3 MELBOURNE
Today, spend the entire day at the Australasain
Quilt Convention. Enjoy some sightseeing
and explore Melbourne at your leisure, visiting
Federation Square and Flinders Walk along
the Yarra River. B
DAY 4 MELBOURNE – PHILLIP ISLAND
Travel to Phillip Island, home of the world’s
largest colony of Little Penguins. Hundreds of
these lovable creatures waddle out of the sea
on their way to burrows in the dunes. At the
Interpretation Center, learn about the Little
Penguins before gathering this evening by the
beach to watch the Penguin Parade. B D
DAY 5 MELBOURNE – SYDNEY
Head back to the Australasian Quilt
Convention this morning. Later this afternoon,
fly to the vibrant city of Sydney. This evening,
stroll through the city streets, visit the historic
Rocks area, or simply relax. B
DAY 6 SYDNEY
Enjoy a panoramic city tour of Sydney,
with highlights that include Kings Cross,
Harbour Bridge, Chinatown and the
fashionable suburb of Paddington. Marvel
at one of the world’s greatest architectural
wonders during a guided tour of the Sydney
Opera House. Later, visit Logan’s Patchwork
for a demonstration and afternoon tea. B
DAY 7 SYDNEY
This morning we visit the Powerhouse
Museum, home of one of the best lace
collections in all of Australia. Tonight, enjoy a
scenic dinner cruise of Sydney Harbour with
incredible views of the iconic Sydney Opera
House and Harbour Bridge. B D
DAY 8 SYDNEY – CHRISTCHURCH
Today we leave Australia behind for the historic
city of Christchurch, New Zealand. Make
yourself right at home this evening when a New
Zealand family welcomes you for a home visit
with dinner! This is sure to be an unforgettable
evening during which you will make new friends,
learn about the customs of the “Kiwis” and enjoy a
home-cooked meal. B D
DAY 9 CHRISTCHURCH – MT. COOK REGION
Depart for the Mt. Cook region visiting a
Canterbury farm for a fantastic opportunity to
learn how a New Zealand family farm operates.
Later, traverse the spectacular countryside to
New Zealand’s most famous national park, Mt.
Cook. Admire the jagged contours and nearly
vertical slopes amid this impressive landscape.

DAY 11 QUEENSTOWN – MILFORD SOUND
On our way to Milford Sound, enjoy the rugged grandeur of the Hollyford Valley. During

Sound, you’ll see why this fjord is one of the
most visited sights on the South Island. B L
DAY 12 QUEENSTOWN – ARROWTOWN
Enjoy the beautiful turn-of-the-century Gold
Rush settlement of Arrowtown. Take time
to explore its quaint, historic streets and boutique shops. Next, explore the Central Otago
region for a stop at a local winery and a visit
to their storage cave for a tasting of some of
their famous wines. B D
DAY 13 QUEENSTOWN
Enjoy the day to explore Queenstown at
your leisure. This evening take in Queenstown
from above and soak in the breathtaking
views during a gondola ride to dinner at the
Skyline Restaurant overlooking Queenstown,
Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkable Mountains.

DAY 10 MT. COOK REGION – QUEENSTOWN
Embrace nature during free time in Mt. Cook
National Park. Later, depart for Queenstown,
