DAY 3 SAN MARCOS - TEMECULA
Travel to beautiful San Marcos to shop
for luscious quilting cottons and supplies
at Eleanor Burns’ famous Quilt in a Day
headquarters. We’ll go behind the scenes to
explore the studio where her PBS television
series is filmed and perhaps say hello to
Eleanor herself. Later, take a factory tour
of Quilter’s Paradise to see how they
manufacture and package laser-cut quilt kits
for companies like Moda. Then visit the retail
store that is brimming with the latest tools
and gadgets to add to your supply. Next,
we depart for Temecula to savor dinner in
historic Olde Town before settling into our
downtown hotel. B D B
DAY 4 TEMECULA - ONTARIO
Our morning shop-hop begins at Temecula
Quilt Co. to peruse their abundance of
delightful fabrics and notions. Next, visit
Primitive Gatherings for hand-dyed wools,
reproduction fabrics, cozy flannels, and
beautiful homespuns. Later, we arrive in
Ontario and check into our luxurious
hacienda-inspired resort. This evening attend
the “sneak preview” and marvel at the quilts
of the 2021 Road to California Quilter’s
Conference & Showcase. B
DAY 5 ONTARIO
Your unlimited admission show pass lets
you come and go to the show at your leisure.
Spend the day enjoying California’s largest and
glitzy-est show that attracts more than 42,000
visitors each year. Sharpen your quilting skills
at one of their expert classes, shop for supplies
in the extensive Merchant Mall, or admire this
year’s prize-winning quilts. After a full day at the
show, you can relax and unwind with a glass of
crisp, California wine. B
DAY 6 ONTARIO
Today you can continue enjoying the show
or shopping the Merchant Mall with your
unlimited admission show pass. Tonight, we
will exchange addresses and say goodbye to
new friends at our Farewell Dinner. B D
DAY 7 ONTARIO – TOUR ENDS
Personalize your day, relaxing at the pool or
returning to the show to one last time (far
easier now that crowds have dwindled) before
taking the hotel’s shuttle to the airport. B
