The New and Improved MATRIKX® carbon block line now features CHLORAMINE
claims and 50% more CHLORINE reduction capacity across the entire range of
standard MATRIKX® products.
MATRIKX® is the first and only full line of activated carbon blocks with enhanced
CHLORAMINE claims across their line of standard products.
Made from 100% coconut shell activated carbon, a renewable and eco-friendly activated carbon, the
standard MATRIKX® line has been Certified for Sustainability by WQA. MATRIKX® not only delivers
industry leading performance and value, they are also manufactured using sustainable materials and a
process that is kind to the environment.
MATRIKX® Carbon Filters are made using high performance coconut shell activated carbon, unique
binders, and a proprietary manufacturing process that delivers industry leading performance. Based
on a recent breakthrough in Catalytic Carbon Technology, the standard range of MATRIKX® carbon
filters have been reformulated with high performance catalytic carbon, resulting in the addition of
CHLORAMINE claims and 50% more chlorine reduction across the entire range, including their most
popular CTO line of carbon filters.
All MATRIKX® Carbon Filters are manufactured using FDA-compliant materials. Specific models are
designed to meet NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53. These enhanced carbon filter elements can be used
in potable water applications, as well as for industrial, food service and commercial applications.
The enhanced family of MATRIKX® activated carbon filters meet exacting performance requirements
and/or claims, and specific models meet the requirements of NSF/ANSI for chlorine, chloramine, VOC
and THM reduction, particulate, cyst, turbidity, and lead reduction.* This enhanced line of standard
MATRIKX® products is certified by NSF and WQA to Standard 42 for Material Safety. *Based on

MATRIKX® CTO filters are one of the most widely used carbon block cartridges in the world and
provide previously unattainable performance at the lowest price point. MATRIKX® CTO filters
simultaneously remove chloramines, free chlorine and organic chemicals that contribute to taste
and odor while providing the particulate filtration and dirt-holding capacity of an efficient five-micron
nominal sediment filter.*

MATRIKX® PB1® - LEAD, CYST, VOC, CHLORAMINE, CHLORINE, TASTE & ODOR REDUCTION FILTER
MATRIKX® PB1® carbon filters have been reformulated with an advanced Lead Scavenger resulting in
an 50% increase in lead reduction capacity.* Standard 2.75" O.D. x 9.75" L PB1® filters will reduce
lead, meeting the performance requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 53 protocols, for up to 3,750
gallons when operating at a flow of 0.75 GPM.*
PB1® filters also reduce VOC, Cysts, Chloramine, Chlorine, Taste Odor and Sediment and meet ANSF/
NSF Standards 42 and 53 for contaminant reduction.*
