TULSION® MB-115 is a mixture of strongly acidic cation exchange resin TULSION® T-46 in
Hydrogen form and strongly basic type I anion exchanger resin TULSION® A-33 in Hydroxide form
in 1:1.5 volume ratio quantities. MB-115 is designed for use in the final polishing for production
of ultra pure water. This resin combines high capacity with excellent physical properties.

Anion Resins
Purolite A300 is a Type 2, strongly
basic gel anion exchange resin with
outstanding operating capacity and
excellent regeneration efficiency. Purolite
A300 removes all ions including silica and
CO2, however, it operates best on waters
having a high percentage of strong acids
(FMA). Purolite A300 can be used in all
types of demineralization equipment where
regeneration efficiency and high operating
capacities are needed. Purolite A300 has
excellent physical stability which allows
for long life and better efficiency within
the operating bed. Whole bead counts
are a minimum of 92% clear beads with
mechanical strengths ranging over 300
grams. Purolite A300 can be regenerated
with sodium chloride to remove alkalinity
from different water supplies. This
dealkalization by ion exchange prevents
the formation of insoluble carbonate
precipitates and stops corrosion due to the
formation of carbonic acid. Purolite A300
can also remove nitrates when regenerated
with salt. Purolite A300 is a Type 2 strong
base anion devoid of taste and odor.
Purolite A400 is a clear gel Type 1
strong-base anion exchanger with both
high operating capacity and the ability
to achieve low residual silica levels.
Minimal quantities of caustic soda are
required compared with those typical
of the classical Type 1 (Purolite A600)
quaternary ammonium structure based on
polystyrene. It has a clear gel structure,
showing excellent regeneration efficiency
and rinse characteristics. Purolite A400
functions well both in mixed bed and
layered bed demineralizer systems, where
specially tailored particle size ranges
result in achieving or maintaining good
separations. Purolite A400 has exceptional
physical stability for a conventional gel-type
resin which permits a long life without the
development of excessive pressure drop;
it also shows good kinetics of exchange,
enabling very low concentration levels of
both strong and weak acid anions to be
achieved at practical flow rates.

TULSION® A-33-OH
Crack-Free Strong Base Anion Exchange
Resin Type I – Nuclear Grade
TULSION® A-33 is a specially developed,
premium grade, strongly basic anion
exchange resin based on polystyrene
matrix containing quaternary ammonium
Type I groups with excellent physical and
chemical stability. A-33 is regenerated in
hydroxide form ensuring that not more than
3% of exchange sites are in chloride form.
TULSION® A-33 is primarily used for
purification of reactor coolant water and
moderator in nuclear power station plants
to keep corrosion products to the minimum
and thus protecting the heat transfer
surfaces from scaling and corrosion.
TULSION® A-33 has excellent capacity
for removal of boric acid. TULSION®
A-33 is manufactured under the most
stringent quality controls to ensure
minimal metallic impurities resulting in the
highest purity of the ionic form supplied.
