CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION
BOARDS AND COMMITTEES
We onboarded 昀椀ve new board members
and launched the Board Development
Committee, the Resident Development
Committee, and the Strategic Resident
Advisory Committee.
ACCOLADES
Newsweek recognized Messiah Lifeways
as a top nursing home in PA—ranking No.
4—and McKnight’s Senior Living named
Nursing Home Administrator Kim Butler as
a 2023 Healthcare Hero.
The Asper Courtyard was completed and
opened for memory care residents and
their families to enjoy. Construction also
began for our new Bailey
Street Apartments.
DONOR DEVELOPMENT
A new donor management software was
implemented, we held a Giving Tuesday
event, and reached record year-end giving
totals of nearly $120,000.
TEAM MEMBER RESOURCES
To increase team member engagement
and simplify scheduling processes, we
launched two team member apps, The
Loop and OnShift. Through a feature in
OnShift, we began offering team members
access to earned pay before payday. We
also implemented a new invoice software.
ENGAGEMENT
Presidents Lunches and a Circle of Friends
Tea engaged dedicated donors. Inviting
the broader community to campus, we
also had a successful Holiday DriveThrough event, engaging more than 150
local families. Additionally, Governor
Josh Shapiro visited the West Shore
Senior Center.
ROBOTS
Two robots were employed on
campus to creatively combat workforce
pressures, a robotic lawn mower and a
robotic vacuum.
RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION
We celebrated 50 team members’ years of
service that totaled more than 580 years. We
also launched a new hiring campaign across
social media, Google, and streaming services.
CHURCH RELATIONS
The Messiah Village congregation transitioned
to Brethern In Christ dominational oversight.
BIC U.S. also offered its support on our pursuit
of a possible af昀椀liation with Menno Haven.
