Asper Courtyard
Strengthening support for memory care residents with Asper Courtyard
in November of 2022, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the
completion of the new Asper Courtyard and the donors and team members
who made this beautiful outdoor space possible.
The Asper Courtyard is connected to our Asper Neighborhood—a
memory care nursing neighborhood that offers specialized nursing
services that promote individuality and dignity for those with a dementia
diagnosis such as Alzheimer’s disease. This new outdoor space was created
with memory care residents and their needs speci昀椀cally in mind, so that
they can have a space to enjoy time outside with their families and friends.
The secured Courtyard features wheelchair-accessible gardening planters
for residents to engage in hands-on gardening activities, tables and chairs
for gathering, and a variety of non-toxic 昀氀owers and plants. During the
warmer months, creative programming is offered in the space to provide
residents with the opportunity to safely enjoy outdoor living.
