Launched:
The Loop and OnShift
The Loop and OnShift, two team
member apps that launched in 2022,
have provided Messiah Lifeways team
members with a convenient way to
remain engaged with the organization,
easily access helpful resources, and
manage their schedule.
Recognizing that a signi昀椀cant number
of individuals employed with Messiah
Lifeways are frontline team members,
the purpose behind The Loop was
to provide a way for those who
are not desk-based to keep in the
know of all things Messiah Lifeways
without having to log into their email.
Since its rollout, nearly 90% of team
members have registered for the app,
and organization-wide emails have
signi昀椀cantly decreased.
In The Loop, team members can see
news and announcements, B.I.G.
strategic plan updates, HR information,
forms and policies, dining menus, and
much more. Department pages have
also been created for Organizational
Council, Nursing, At Home, and
Resident and Guest Services to have
a hub for frequent departmental
communication.

OnShift is an app-based resource for
frontline team members to view their
schedule, pick up open shifts, and
communicate with their scheduler
all from their smartphone. This
convenience has fostered an increase
in team members picking up shifts. A
wallet feature within OnShift has also
given Messiah Lifeways a competitive
advantage by allowing hourly team
members access to their earned wages
before payday.
We continue to explore additional
ways to leverage both OnShift and The
Loop in the future.
