Wigs vs. Toppers
The very first thing to think about when
purchasing hair is whether you want a
topper or a wig.
Wig
There's a few key differences when it comes
to toppers and wigs. One isn't necessarily
better than the other. It's all about personal
preference and what works for you and
your lifestyle.
Most people are familiar with the concept
of a wig. A wig is designed to cover your
whole scalp, from the nape of your neck, all
around to your forehead. If you have your
own hair, you'll tuck this up under the cap
so it is totally/mostly concealed.
Topper
Alternatively, toppers can be likened to hair
extensions which also cover the crown of
your head. The hair of the topper is sewn
into a piece of material which sits on top of
your head and covers your scalp. However,
you don't 'tuck' your own hair into the
topper cap, nor do you conceal the lengths
of your hair. The topper sits on top of your
head and you blend your own hair together
with the topper.
