ENVIRONMENTALISM
Like many natural environments,
the Preserve faces a range
of environmental risks and
challenges. Healthy ecosystems
are fundamental to the functioning
of the Preserve and our planet.
Here are some of the steps we are
taking to mitigate these risks.
• We are adopting practices to
minimize our environmental impact
and contribute to sustainability
including moving to fossil fuel-free
operations with investments in green
energy systems, waste reduction,
composting, energy use reduction,
solar panels, and electric/hybrid
vehicles.

• We have done extensive assessments
of the forests and meadows of our
natural lands to maintain the health
of these important ecosystems. Find
these studies on the natural lands
page on our website.
