active participation, and engagement for a geographically and
demographically diverse and dispersed community. We will

Jewish life that strengthens us all.
Boston is an exceptional place to be Jewish, and JCC Greater Boston is at the heart
of our vibrant community. Our long-standing commitment to serve our community’s
needs, both at our Leventhal-Sidman Center in Newton, and at sites and programs
across the rapidly expanding landscape of Jewish Boston, have enabled us to impact
tens of thousands of individuals and families each year. Our success has come out of
emergent strategies that recognize the shifting demographic and geographic realities
of our community, and an ongoing commitment to meeting individuals and families
where they are. Now, with most of our child-centered programming at capacity, and a
significant rise in demand for meaningful engagement for teens, active older adults,
and LGBTQ families, we are motivated to expand our programs to meet those growing
needs. Moreover, in a post-COVID and post-October 7 context, our mandate to support
the mental, emotional, and social health of all of our community members is at
the forefront of how we will meet our mission. Leaning into our strengths, creating
multiple access points for engagement, and partnering with exceptional peers will
enable us to grow the number of people whose lives we touch, expand our geographic
and demographic centers of gravity, and in meeting people where they are, allow our
beautifully diverse and disparate Jewish community to feel part of a meaningful whole.
The JCC plans to expand outreach and programs to meet the needs of an
increasingly dispersed and diverse Jewish community in the following ways:
Expand the JCC’s physical presence to include one or more new satellite sites for
JCC childcare and/or camping programs, and continue to fill all new and existing
program slots.
Grow family outreach in key geographic areas, and further increase engaged
regional family program participation.
Launch new programs to engage older adults and teens, and further increase
participation in all existing programs.
