GALA SPONSORS
LEADERS OF THE PACK
Our Wags, Whiskers & Wine annual gala
is made possible by the compassion and
generosity of our fabulous sponsors,
including our “Leaders of the Pack”!
Our Wags, Whiskers & Wine gala this past August was a
fun-昀椀lled, feel-good success! A heartfelt HSSC THANK YOU
to our dear friends at Kendall-Jackson Winery for hosting us
again this year. We can’t imagine a more beautiful setting
than their spectacular Wine Estate and Gardens for our
award-winning event!
In 1974, the Jackson family bought
a Lake County vineyard and making
wine became so much more than a
business – it became a tradition and a
family grown legacy. Now their estate
vineyards are located throughout the
preeminent cool coastal growing
regions of California. Kendall-Jackson’s
extended family, from skilled winemakers
to culinary experts, represents the
best in the food and wine industry.
Kendall-Jackson is a Sonoma County
landmark, and we are so proud of
and grateful for their partnership!
Please save the date! We can’t wait to see you next year
for Wags, Whiskers & Wine at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate
& Gardens, August 2, 2024!

Betty Ann Sutton of Mr. Ryder and
Co. is a dear longtime friend of the
Humane Society of Sonoma County.
Her fabulous emporium of arts and
antiques in Graton is named after not
only her father, the original Mr. Ryder,
but also her beloved rescue dog! Betty
Ann has supported HSSC for over 20
years and is a cherished friend to the
animals for life. We were so honored
to have her generous sponsorship of
our gala again this year!
Jim & Claudette Barnes
It started with a cat. Our friendship with Jim and Claudette
Barnes began when they adopted a kitty from us in 2008!
A lifelong resident of Sonoma County and independent
insurance broker, Jim has solid community roots and
served for many years as a nonpro昀椀t board member. Flash
forward to 2016, when Jim began serving on our board
of directors. That was also the year the Barnes’ adopted
another cat - their beloved Beatrice! In addition to being
longtime Founders’ Society members, Jim and Claudette
are generous supporters of our gala. We so appreciate
their commitment to the animals!
Since 1988, Oliver’s Market has been
proud to serve Sonoma County,
partnering with local vendors and
local charities whenever possible,
because they believe this improves
and strengthens the fabric of our
community for everyone. They have
supported Humane Society of Sonoma
County for many years, directly and
through customer support via the
Oliver’s Market Community Card. Thank
you, Oliver’s Market, for your support
of our mission!
Chuck & Donna Hussey
Chuck and Donna Hussey’s commitment to the animals
runs deep. As beloved sponsors of our gala and longtime
members of our Founders’ Society, they’re an integral part
of our ability to provide happily-ever-afters for the animals
who need us. They’ve even personally ensured happily-ever
-afters for some very special kitties, including MAC (Most
Adorable Cat) and Zeek - a sweet former stray who may be
missing a tail but more than makes up for it with his zest
for life! Thank you Chuck and Donna! We are so grateful for
your support!
