COMMUNIT Y ENGAGEMENT
As part of the Heart of Highwoods program, our
Highwoods Helps community service initiative
provides our coworkers additional opportunities to
make a difference in the lives of others. To encourage
our coworkers to volunteer their time, we have
established Martin Luther King Day as a paid holiday
and offer full-time coworkers an additional eight
hours of paid time off annually to volunteer.
In 2023, we supported numerous community

organizations focused on job creation, veterans and
basic essential needs.
Our support for charitable and community
activities is done with the sole intention of making
our communities better places to live and work.
As a REIT, Highwoods generally does not receive tax
benefits from charitable giving.
