GW Engage is GW’s student events portal. Make
a habit to browse weekly for upcoming events
sponsored by 500-plus student organizations and
university offices. Hint: most are free, and all are fun!

■ Waiver Period Open for GW’s Student Health
Insurance Plan
All undergraduate students are required to have
health insurance while they study at GW, and students
are automatically enrolled in the GW Student Health
Insurance Plan (GW SHIP) every year. Students who
chose to use their own health insurance or are covered
by their parent’s or guardian’s health coverage
must waive out of the GW SHIP plan. A charge for
SHIP coverage will appear on your student account
eBill unless you waive out of the mandatory health
insurance plan. (See May for details.)

■ First-Year Student Residence Hall Move-in
In June, after receiving your on-campus room
assignment, you will select a move-in date and time
slot. Your move-in date and times will be based on
any co-curricular and pre-orientation activities you will
participate in. We recommend not booking any travel
until you have received notification of your confirmed
move-in date.
