GIG HARBOR SENIOR CENTER
OUR MISSION
To provide a vibrant gathering place for seniors that
inspires and supports participation in all aspects of
community life by offering opportunities for social
interaction, recreation, education, and wellness.
GIG HARBOR'S ACTIVE
RETIREMENT & SENIOR CLUB
REBORN
The former Senior Club was housed in the Cheney Family
Branch of the Boys & Girls Club, until the building was sold
to Peninsula School District in 2019. On May 1, 2019, after
a series of collaborative community meetings to help
ensure Gig Harbor had a dedicated center with programs,
activities and services devoted to residents age 60 and
better, the Club was reborn as the Gig Harbor Senior
Center (GHSC), a Greater Gig Harbor Foundation program.
Thus, providing GHSC nonprofit status, financial
resources, support staff, and permanency.

As our community's only senior center
GHSC strives to provide programs and

engaged, healthy, and happy.
