Gabriel Global Portfolio primarily consists of wool and post-consumer recycled polyester textiles.
The reason is simple: We only want to use fibres that age with grace and offer long-lasting functional and aesthetic value.
We have worked with wool since 1851 and specialise in crafting wool fabrics. Today, we only use
New Zealand wool, treating it with the utmost care and respect to maintain its natural beauty and
functionality.
The same mindset guides our design and production of polyester fabrics. The result is a premium portfolio, defined by high-quality polyester fabrics with a matt, soft, natural appearance, and
crafted aesthetic.
We strive for a mono-material portfolio and only blend materials when it enhances functionality,
longevity, or reduces environmental impact. We never blend materials for aesthetics only and
never at the expense of the fabric’s environmental performance.
The overall goal of our mono-material approach is to ensure fabric recyclability and to promote
a circular economy. We continuously develop new mono-material fabrics, including our Focus,
Blend, and Cyber fabrics.
Our material categories also include textile-to-textile recycled polyester. By recycling textile waste,
like production cut offs, we create new yarn, which we blend with post-consumer recycled polyester to produce our Loop fabrics. This innovative approach closes the material loop by recycling
materials – again and again.
