Florida Commission on the Status of Women
Ø “Since 1991, leaders from across Florida have been appointed to the Florida Commission
on the Status of Women (FCSW). Collectively, these leaders, with the support of
dedicated staff, work to deliver programming aimed at improving the well-being of
Florida women and girls – and by extension, all Floridians.”

Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Ø “Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, hereafter referred to as
the “Coordinating Council” is mandated by Section 413.271 Florida Statutes to serve as
an advisory and coordinating body which recommends policies that address the needs

Florida’s Council on Homelessness
Ø “The Council consists of seventeen members, representing nine state agency heads or
their designees, four members appointed by the Governor, and four members
representing statewide organizations and homeless advocacy groups.”
Ø “The council shall develop policy and advise the State Office on Homelessness. The
council shall issue a report by December 31 of each year summarizing the council's
recommendations to the office and the corresponding actions taken by the office, and
