VISITING DENALI
Most people associate “Denali” with Denali
National Park & Preserve - and rightly so! It is
the crown jewel of Alaska and the pride of our
local communities. But Denali is so much more
than a National Park.
The Denali Borough covers 8.2 million acres,
along a 100 mile stretch of highway, in Interior
Alaska. Numerous small towns and residential
neighborhoods make the Denali Borough
a destination of its own. Each town offers
unique experiences and views: from ATV
riding and float trips in Anderson to the north,
to hiking and fishing in Cantwell to the south,
and everything else in between. The variety of
ways to experience Denali means there is truly
something for everyone.
Even better? The Denali Borough is open
for visitation YEAR-ROUND! Don’t miss an
opportunity to snowshoe, dogsled or view the
aurora during our winter season.

GETTING THE LAY OF THE LAND
Denali is uniquely different. The remoteness of locations,
combined with sparsely populated communities, means it
can be challenging for visitors to wrap their minds around:
• How do I get there?
• How do I get around?
• Where should I stay?
