The Park Canyon is Denali’s tourism hub. Beginning
1 mile north of the entrance to Denali National Park & Preserve,
it follows the eastern edge of the Nenana River Canyon and
continues north for 7 miles. This drive contains beautiful scenery
and is a popular spot for photography.
DENALI PARK CANYON
Denali Park Canyon is a seasonal
community. Doors to visitor services,
excursions (page 29), hotels (page 25),
restaurants (page 33) and shopping
(page 27) open mid-May and close midSeptember, matching the operating dates
of the Denali Park Road bus tours.
A paved walking/biking trail runs one mile
through the southern end of Denali Park
Canyon, with a pedestrian bridge over the
Nenana River and picnic areas at both ends.
